Need support for the new Danish Health Technology Council applications?

The new Danish Health Technology Council (HTC) is a reality. The HTC is established by the Danish Regions but will be a political independent prioritisation Health Technology Assessment (HTA) organ.

The purpose of the new HTC is to “allocate the health care systems resources to those technologies and efforts, which provide the most health for the money spend”.

The HTC shares many features with the Danish Medicines Council (DMC), both organisational, structural, and purpose-wise; however, both the process and methodology differs significantly. This due to the fundamental differences between drugs and MedTech and the general broader scope of the appraisals covered by the HTC, which favour a less stringent and more iterative appraisal process, compared to a DMC process.

Anders Mærkedahl, Partner in NHTA, has been a key figure in multiple projects initiated by the Danish government / authorities or the Medico industry on value-based procurement for MedTech as well as providing concrete feedback on both the method guidelines and process handbook for the HTC. Further, Anders has hands-on experience in driving MedTech HTA processes for e.g., NICE and TLV. Based on Anders’ unique expertise, and NHTA’s extensive experience in supporting with submissions to the DMC and other HTA bodies, we are your optimal partner for preparing for a HTC process, and we can support with all the elements necessary for the application development and the process.

This includes:
