When are alternative agreements a solution to provide access for new treatments in Denmark?
This was the topic when Andreas Pagh and Asger Lindvig attended the meeting about alternative agreements, held by LIF, Amgros, and the DMC.
It was clear that all parties see the great potential in alternative agreements but also the challenges.
A very important take home message from the meeting is that preparations and dialogue are essential to ensure the success of an alternative agreement.
The DMC presented the nine criteria for an alternative agreement to be relevant – of which number 3 is essential in the preparation of an alternative agreement: Do the agreement address the primary uncertainty?
NHTA have great experience and insights within alternative agreements and identifying the primary uncertainty and which types of agreements are most fitting – reach out to Asger Lindvig or Andreas Pagh for more information.
Thank you to Lif – Lægemiddelindustriforeningen, Amgros I/S and the Danish Medicines Council (Medicinrådet) for an inspiring meeting and inviting for further dialogue on this very important topic.
